2010 Chevrolet Malibu Overview
Remaining true to its nature of seeking perfection, the 2010
Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedan offers only minor changes
from the previous model year.
New additions to the 2010 Chevy Malibu include: three
exterior color choices, an E-85-capable 2.4-liter engine,
standard six-speed automatic transmission on 1LT models, 17-inch
Chrome Tech aluminum wheels on 2LT models, and driver power-adjustable
lumbar support which replaces manual lumbar support on all
models.
With stiff competition from Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion,
Nissan Altima, and Honda Accord, the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu
keeps up by offering four trim levels: LS, 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ.
A 169-horsepower 2.4-liter I-4 engine is standard while a
252-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 can be added to the LT and LTZ.
A four-speed automatic transmission comes standard in the LS
but you can upgrade to a six-speed automatic, which can be
found in the LT and LTZ. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the
2.4-liter engine is 22/30 mpg city/highway and the 3.6-liter
engine can achieve up to 17/26 mpg city/highway. If you
prefer to go green, the Malibu hybrid receives even better
fuel economy.
